Howdy all,

Apparently I sold slimmer.org for $70 in the auction (but unfortunately couldn't be present at the time), so I don't know who I sold it to and therefore can't contact them - how do I find out this info?

I thought an auction can't proceed if the seller isn't present in the chatroom.

Gregr had changed the rules, and allowed an auction without the presence of seller. Transaction is to be completed within 24 hours.

Ahhh, thanks for the update.

tigga: have you found the winner and sold it?

Yes thanks owndomain - transaction with Beachie went through without a hitch - thanks Beachie!

i think the seller should have to be present.. cuz then theres more people there.. and so if a seller sees something he/she wants to buy then there will be more buyers. what im saying is that there would be more people there and more people would sell their domains

While I understand your line of logic, some people's schedule is prohibitive.

I, for example, officiate ice hockey. There are a lot of times where I cannot be present at the auction because I am on the ice. If I were home, then I would most certainly be at the auction. By dropping the requirement of the person having to be present, more names will be auctioned off. I think Gregr has done the right thing with limiting the listings to two per person (at least while listing them is free).

I've got to second that one. With auctions on Saturday night, I won't likely be attending very often until proxy bidding is instituted (Family night). Sometimes getting it done by Sunday night would be difficult, but by monday night no problem. Some people do actually do things off-computer on the weekends.
