OK, I know there are a few people around here who are developing forums on several different topics.
I myself have been developing/trying to get popular www.videocardforum.com
I also am planning on starting development on flowerforum.com / flowersforum.com
I think it would be a good idea if a bunch of forums covering a heap of different topics joined together in a network type of sites.
A decent domain would have to be gotten for the name of the network & then that main site would act as the main directory to all the network's forums. All the forums in the network would naturally link to the main site.
Nothing is set in stone or anything but my initial thoughts would be to limit it to like 10 people who develop the forums. Obviously you cannot duplicate the same forum as another member has so who makes what will have to be discussed.
The main site should get some decent PR from this IMO.
Of course I would like to see only people join who are dedicated to getting their forum popular, not people who just chuck the forum up & forget about it & not try agressivley to get some good traffic flowing to it.
I myself have brought traffic for VCF & am actively looking for expiring domains with gaming traffic & the such.
Do I have any interest here?
