Ok, I've got an offer on this one, but I'd like to see what you guys think the value is for this in the US ccTLD. Never offered it for sale previously and just (in the last couple weeks) plugged it on fabulous until I could get it developed. Might just sell the thing. Thanks for any comments etc. Doc

That's a great .us name with a lot of potential. In my eyes, the value of the name today is 99% due to the possibility of future appreciation. What it will take to become valuable is either development of the brand and website, or an increase in value of .us names in general. As a .us, I would be surprised if it got any traffic other than people checking to see if it's taken.

If I owned the name, I would either develop it, or wait patiently for a few years. As a patient investor, what would I pay for it today? It would be somewhere in the three-digit ($xxx) range. But I think the future potential is much more.

Very nice name. However if you look at premium .us names going for cheap it is very difficult to give its current value, other than buyer's eagerness to get the name.
Right now, you can expect anything for it, from low $### to high five figures.
.us is the market currently completely determined by buyer's whimps.

OK Doc, here's the skinny from my humble perspective.

The value is obviously debatable as a .US. If I were to receive an offer I would try to learn as much as I could about the buyer and then make some assumptions. If it seemed reasonable that the domain was going to be developed, I would veer on the higher side. If it was another domainer looking to improve his/her/its inventory AND you had no plans for developing the domain yourself, I might accept a lower figure.

So here's my answer (not knowing what the original offer is)

I have 400 .us domains I have sold one.
Yours is nice. I would never sell this type for domain name for under 5000.00
The best valued domain name. If you would spend some time and build a site
the value becomes hugh. Plus It brings value to all of the other .us domains.

I did get an offer (real or cornball I don't know?) on the singular investment.us of $5k just prior to the offer on the plural from some dude with an email from the Saudi Arabia ccTLD. I've started to get quite a few offers on names since I plugged a couple thousand on Fabulous in the last few weeks. Pleased with their set-up.

I agree with your last post fussyfever, putting a little time into development should pay for itself fairly quickly. I'm still thinking of blowing some stuff out as I need to get focused.

This name should fetch at least $3000 IMO.

The plural fits great (better than the singular) and the extension is superb. That's because a) when we think of investments (as well as other financial matters), we usually think within our own country of residence -- due to rules and limitations, and b) some non-us folks such as from Arab countries may think of investments in the US as a way to expand their wealth.
