I am thinking about getting the new iphone, if anyone here has it, can you log into the forums and post?

Hey man. I got the 2nd generation (3G) iPhone a couple of weeks ago and I love it. I've been a fan of HTC/Qtek (windows mobile phones) for 3-4 years, but now I am a true iPhone fan. The web-browser is excellent and you can easily log in to the forum (and all other websites) and read, post and do whatever you do on a desktop/laptop computer. The e-mail client is also excellent. It's not a super advanced e-mail client, but it's great for reading and sending e-mails on the go. Together with UMTS (3G) and wireless network, you can easily work from anywhere. I have a small laptop as well, but I rarely bring it with me, as I can do most simple tasks via my iPhone. The App Store (Apple's software store) has also improved a lot over the last few weeks and you can download every application from spreadsheet/word processors to VNC/remote desktop clients and similar.

The iPhone really has a lot of features and the best part is that everything works perfectly. It's also much faster than other similar smart/pdaphones (I recently had the HTC Diamond and it's slooow). The phone also have a GPS device, so you can use it for navigation as well. The current navigation apps (Google maps) is poor and not good enough for car navigation, but both TomTom and other GPS software producers are currently working on GPS applications for the iPhone, so it won't take long until it is just as good as a stand-alone GPS navigation device.

As an extra "bonus", it's an excellent media player for music and video, much better than any of the other phones on the market.

On the downside, if you are used to "regular" cellphones, the battery life may disappoint you a little (one day of heavy use will require you to recharge it when you go to bed at night).

I really can't come up with any negative things to say about the iPhone and I've had it for a while (I also had the first gen iPhone for a couple of months).

Let me know if you want more details. :)

PS. No I don't work for Apple. ;)

Thanks man, I am getting one next week, just wanted to make sure

I love mine too. My previous phone was HTC Touch

My current phone is HTC Mogul with Sprint. What I like the most of this phone/sprint is that I have unlimited internet connecting through wifi router which I can connect my pda/laptop online. I am actually thinking to get the ipod touch as I am not going to use any of the 3G functions. But then again, it seems like the 3G iphone is getting cheaper. :) I might as well go with the iphone. :)

Iphone is good love it!

I would like to see DNF make a widget though that somehow integrated with Ispy or something to have posts streaming or something like that.

iPhone is a cool business tool. I still have the first generation iPhone. The 3G is a lot faster browsing the Internet, really nice to have in online business.

iPhone is surely good....You will enjoy it . But am very happy with my HTC Wizard.

:-)
