I looked over at dev.mobi and saw they have a really easy app to build a site that sells IPhones. Within 20 minutes using thier app I had half the page complete to sell IPhones at 599.00 for an 8 GB model and pretty much the entire website complete before I had my PC reboot.

I think this name would be really easy to earn really decent revenues from with a site and a National Classified ad where users could use thier current phone to order a new IPhone.

With these thoughts in mind could anyone please give me thier best evaluations / opinion?

Thank You

I think it have no value for now until developed. Make a good site to develop the domain and sell it it future. Iphone will have great market in future.

$0 a total waste of money, stay away from regging more .mobis

If you feel this way care to elaborate more? I'm not planning on letting it sit parked.. I actually see being able to order an Iphone with your crappy old phone as a valuable resource atm ???

I think you totally fell for the marketing scam that .mobi has anything to do with being able to something on your mobile phone..its just a TLD, nothing more.. .mobi will not help you to do anything better...you can still bank online on your .com or .info for all it matters, I think whoever has not realized just yet that .mobi was set up by smart people in order to make people spend money on something worthless should do some more research on the people behind .mobi and watch how they are laughing all the way to the bank..

I have no gripe about .mobi, but that one is reg fee at best IMHO.

reg fee... what real legit use could this domain possible have? its a blatant trademark infringement..

however, you should completely disregard domainh's comment about the .mobi TLD in general.... its pretty clear he is a bitter individual offering no real insight into anything other than his own bitterness.

bitter? I am not bitter..about what? I think you should think before writing and maybe do some more research about .mobi..its pretty clear that you sunk a lot of money into .mobis and are therefore angry towards anybody that has an educated opinion about what mobi is and not is and can and cannot do..

you probably should take your own advice.

agree with domainah, mobi is, and was a well executed zero-value-adding product marketing campain, so before insulting people here because you are afraid different opinions lower their value I think you should look into who is behind the .mobi registry, and also look into some of the hyped high sales in the beginning

Possible TM but then somebody already flipped iphone.mobi for a nice profit.

i know who is behind the mobi registry: the mtld.

Either way I bought it cheap (Regged actually 12.99) and I agreed a .mobi is as useless as any domain undeveloped.. but since I get to use a great free tool for desiging mobile apps free just for it being .mobi (including payment gateway within 20 mins) I don't think I did that bad. Also sure IPhoning isn't IPhone but when they retail for 599 and you put out a classified ad nation wide that people can use thier crappy phones to order a new IPhone .. people will order them. Convenience I suppose. The domain doesn't have to be perfect in order to make money. It's all in how you market.. Look at some of those hyphenated domains in TV commercials.

your 5 minute google research sure was impressive....too bad it didnt tell you who the owners and benificiaries of every .mobi reg are and who the people that make money of it know, and if those are the same people that supposedly made some of the super high purchases..(and I am not talking about investors or supportors or board members). But even your wanna-be research should have at least yielded a little questioning in the .mobi registrations when you should have seen that the CEO of mTLD is a Marketing specialst and not a technology specialist..its a marketing thing..just face it.

ahh, the great .mobi debate. back on topic here - my sense is that this domain feels akward. i'd say its worth what you paid for it. now if you get more out of it as a developed site, then thats great.

thats the great part silly.

I don't mind a little conversation with regards to the .mobi as a whole in my thread so long as it's not personal, offensive, and unprofessional. I'm always open to hear every view.
