1. I have absolutely no idea what you have written in your language. Please use english as the medium of communication unless you are posting in the language specific forums.
2. I live in Asia and the statements I have made are based on my own research in market.
3. The thread has not violated any rules which would warrant a closure of the thread. As such do a search on the forum and you will see so many tld debate threads -- especially .mobi ones. So no, it does not threaten current sales.
4. I invest in ccTLDs all the time and profit from them. However, the whole point that domainers are stifling the growth of other TLDs -- which is the discussion of the thread -- is ludicrous!
I dont see the point to write bad remarks of how domain extensions "suck". I do respect opinions of others but simply writing "sucks" about a domain extension is not good nor professional.
And seeing that we are not only discussing .com, this is an international community.
As for the Japanese, well, there are NO Japanese areas are there? There isnt any asian area here. That gives the upperhand on English-speakers to say negative things about .asia. Where can the asian community speak about .asia!?
Do understand that not all of us have started with .com and may have come late into the game. This doesnt mean that we have less experiences in marketing or research.
As for your #3, i disagree. I also took part in those discussions. Im getting sick and tired of trying to protect my investment on this board. I have the research and experience in such areas as mobile and asia. Even if i supply my evidence to support my findings, i still see ".whatever sucks". If i were to be a company interested in buying a .mobi or .asia, i surely would be checking here. While everyone keeps dogging the new extensions with unsupported negativity, I will be here to supply.
Also on your #3, i see that it would indeed violate the rules. Maybe im seeing this differently, but would like for some to see it in another perspective. We get in trouble if we were to post in sales threads. well, i have .com, .info, .jp, .mobi, and .asia. i see these extensions in every thread. and
www.domain.asia is connected IMO. and that is posting something in a sales.
I still move to close this thread as it alters sales not only on this site, but also others like sedo and ebay. Im i just a minority on this? Jeshhh, its just an extension. no need to bash it to pieces simply because you didnt get any .asia.
It makes me sad to see such people would just post simply "this extension sucks". why cant anyone just be supportive in another's investment? Why shoot them down? why? WHY!? WHHHHYYY!?
I see that Ebiz4india is so correct. but we are only seeing the beginning. Why should we start bashing .asia!? Same as saying "2009 will be bad" how do you know!? It has yet to come!? But when so many people start this propoganda, others will eventually think that 2009 will be bad. I seriously think that talking bad about anything is bad. talking about extension is bad. especially if someone is not from the area nor has done efficient research.
....
So, I would rather register all ccTLD where I operate in rather than an extension people will not remember.
Yea, this i agree. I have seen (i think) some talk negative about .in and they dont even live there! When this negative talk about "this extension sucks", dont you think that it alters your sales in some way?
"ããããã¾ãï¼ï¼ãã¾ãããããªã ãæªãäºè¨ãããªã" just says "do you understand? If you dont know the extension, then to talk negative about it."
