Is anyone else sick of that banner ad between the first and second posts?

Aside from being annoying it often slows down my browsing of the site by a fair margin, now we have 3 large banner ads in every thread (4 including the header)
Having banner ads between posts is usually reserved for unregistered members of forums.

Yep. You only usually find that crap on free forums, or on forums where you haven't registered. Not where, in some cases, members have paid hundreds of dollars to join

The one below the "quick links" is definitely in the way.

just sell our email addresses to Latona.
Then he can only annoy us with his newsletter.

If you are using Firefox, try the Adblock Plus plugin. I use it in combination with Flashblock and NoScript.

I don't mind the ads, nothing wrong about monetizing the forum as long as there isn't too much noise

I've never used any sort of ad-blocker, although I've now gone ahead and installed one. Is much easier.
