For .com it should be resolved within 12-48 hours. Make sure name server information is correct.

Depending on your server set-up as well as YOUR ISP's (NOT host's) nameserver updates* AND your timing in actually submitting the registration, it could take just a few (less than 6) hours for a domain to be active.

EDIT: * just so YOU are able to see it. :)
