I have some great ideas for one brandable domain, and a one-word domain but used on a secondary market (DomainLore).

Can you easily get a new domain and have the same chance of finding a seller as someone who has an aged domain with many backlinks? That being said the new domain is keyword rich

That is a yes and no answer. Totally depends on what niche and circumstances. Do dropping names with back links sell, yes. Why traffic and dump they run their course and traffic falls. Do they sell because they are aged, yes but not everything aged is valuable. So yes and no.
