Deciding I'd stop being a spectator with TBR, I decided to place some bids.
Pool.com and MyID.ca were easy enough to work with. However, not even one bid in, Sibername has the following strikes against them:
1. They failed to mention a $2.70 credit card "Processing Fee", which they conveniently added to my invoice and refused to acknowledge in an email requesting clarification on a few things.
2. My deposit record shows as $40, despite my paying $70 (PLUS their little fee - the problem there is immaterial to the crediting of a deposit), which is indicative of a substantial flaw in their system.
3. Their $35 minimum bid does not show up on one of the domains I was intending on bidding on - but rather, the next level up at $50. I don't mind bidding $50 for the name, but that means I have to re-deposit, and likely be hit with that fee again (and be given no help whatsoever by the apparent dimwits running the place).
4. In their reply to my ticket, they addressed me by a name similar to, but not confusable with my first name, despite my name being on the account, not to mention that I distinctively signed my email with my first name.
To top this all off, their email response seems to be coming pretty slowly, which might be saying it won't come at all.
I'm going to pop a gasket if sibername catches one (or both!) of those names and I'm not in on the auction because of their negligence.
They did say that my deposit is "fully refundable", but if they screw up and don't refund me, I am entirely intent on filing a chargeback against them.
This is inexcusable. Is it just me?
