Hi all,

What is the best way to valuate a domain in terms of simple buy domain/sell domain. I understand that there are a lot of external factors involved and some sales can be simply luck.

However, quite often I will ask for an appraisal of a domain that has a good english structure with a minimum of 1000 global monthly 'exact' searches. What other ways are there for buying domains based on the premise of reselling. Traffic obviously is a good one and I do keep an eye out on GoDaddy auctions for domains that have some traffic coming to them. But this traffic is pointless for the purpose of flipping a domain right? Because that traffic will eventually die off.

Your advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Impossible to answer. There are soooooo many factors. Some domain could be .com and have 1000+ exacts but no value, and some domain could be registered today and sold few days after for $1000+ although exacts doesn't exists.

Potential end users are the key.
