TomatoSoup.com.

can i contact "Campbell Soup Company" and propose the name to them?

Will there be any problems?

It's legal, no problems with that. The problems will be with a domain like CampbellSoup.com

If your looking to sell TomatoSoup.com let me know, I think it's a great domain.

Perfectly legal.
I had a similar domain (flavour of alcohol) which appealed to the drinks industry. I emailed four relevant companies and one replied with interest...

.

Jup you can contact them. I did the same with the domain InstantSoups.com.

The reason people are saying it is ok is because the domain is descriptive in nature.

thank you for all your support. i had a domain stolen (lost) in wipo when indeed it was generic. i dont want to get taken advantage of again.
