...another residue domain collecting dust over at Network Solutions. Should I transfer it, or let it expire? Is it worth anything at all?

How much time is left on it?

Throw it in the "DNF Domain sales" at least you could get some $DNF for it.

My DNS name is the only one I have left over at NSI.
I haven't transferred anything from them in about a year or two.
But if its as much as a pain as it was then? You might just want to let it drop?
