Hi all

Can I have some appraisals on this name

IVG.com (regged in 1995)

I've been looking at all sorts of acronyms for this name and there are plenty of them, not to mention all the developed sites using IVG (about 34 in total I can find)

I = International, Invest, Investment, Internet, Interactive, Intelligent, India, Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Iowa, Idaho, Indiana, Image, Imaging, Instant etc

V = Vacation, Vodka, Virtual, Virtualization, Vaper, Vehicle, Vapor, Virgin, Voucher, Viagra, Viral, Virus, Voice, Visitor, Video, Vegas, Visual, Vegan, Vegetarian

G = Group, Gold, Gas, Game, Gaming, Guide, Geek, Guru, Gay, Girls, Gym, Gems, Gateway, Go

International Virtual Gaming etc
Internet Virtual Gaming
International Vacation Group/Guide
InVestment Group
IV Generation (4th Generation, 4G)

Thanks all

There are also a few registered trademarks that contain "IVG" so I'd be careful - do not park it or publicly advertise it for sale. On the subject of value, I'd say $18k - $25k.

IVG means abortion in French but it's probably not the best use for the domain :)
it's a good combo with plenty of possibilities. 20K+ IMO.

20k min-

Upside unknown

*1k-2k estimate is enough grounds to consider "banned for life..." lol

Nice name

Good luck

I had heard the term IVG but I wonder if such fancy name is used in France and other French-speaking countries in Europe for the most part. Not so sure about Quebec but I don't think Haitians or French-speaking Africans would use IVP, they'll just say "avortement", right ? unless they work in the healthcare field. But I agree w/MrCurly, other than the abortion term thing and barring any potential TM challenges it is a $25K name potentially, or at least not to be sold below $20K

But keep in mind Asians (mostly Chinese) are buying many of these LLL.com's and driving prices up. Soon no LLL.com will sell for under $10K no matter how bad. And I knew the Chinese often avoid all vowels but more recently different buyers in various spaces are also asking that any acronym lists I send them not contain a V either. I didn't know about this. I knew V wasn't a premium letter in Chinese languages but I don't know why it would be specifically avoided. I hope V is not becoming the 4 of the western alphabet...
