If you were selling it though, what price would you accept? Low - mid xx,xxx or more?

On their own the .com and .co.uk are desirable but I don't think the others have much value unless packaged with these.

Anyone have any thoughts how I would go about sourcing an end user for this? Could start by mailing a load of ad agencies I guess.

I'd say with a pr6 and that age, it's perfect for development... put a few $x,xxx into developing it into something more than it is now. If it doesn't work, you can still sell for $xx,xxx.

Well, at the moment, it's a web design/web builder site. Why not make it into a fully functioning community for web designers and webmasters to show off their latest designs.

Or make it into a marketplace where web designers can sell their designs. Plenty of different potential ideas.

When I say that a brandable domain is priceless, I mean to the owner. Since it's an aged domain I'd develop it into something to protect its age and brand. There are a couple of trademarks in the USPTO that might challenge it, therefore you need to protect it with use.

Can you point me to these trademarks? I've been using the brand for web / software / online in UK and US for over 15 years.

- have now had a look. I guess you're referring to the "By Jingo" Koala Bear TM for the ballpoint pen company? I'm no expert but I wouldn't have thought there was much to worry about there really.

Agree, this is a solid gold name with massive market appeal. Do not sell this cheap.

Thought it may be of interest to share - sedo appraised the .com at 30k about 4 years ago. I suspect that's at the low end if I can find the right end user who needs an instant global brand - sports drink, lottery, airline - that sort of thing. I'm not in a hurry so I may try punting it direct around some ad agencies....

We're seriously considering rebranding the business right now which is why I'm looking into the value of the domains - Jingo would be a much stronger consumer brand than B2B IMHO. So domains only at this stage.

Those nice folks at Sedo have offered to broker it but at just 15k Euro due to "the very specific nature of the name". Hmm, I'm not sure they get this one. It's not a niche proposition - it's a big wide open brandable IMHO.

It's also an exclusive deal and I would be forced to sell to the first buyer offering 15k Euro or at auction with an 80% reserve. I know it's important to reign in wild expectations and hopes of the perfect end user sale but I still see more value in it than this.

Any thoughts / advice much appreciated.

Brandables do not appeal to everyone as they are less liquid than generics, that's the reason why the brokers are pricing it low for a smooth sale.
I would not take a chance with such a low reserve. IMO it's best to wait and hold.
You could indicate somewhere that the domain is on sale, because outside parties interested in the domain and visiting the site will be under the impression it's still being actively used, therefore not for sale.

15k for the domain alone is not that bad imo. Especially with such an economic climate.

I wouldn't sell it now if you don't need the money asap. I'd try some development on it. If it doesn't work, sell it.

Keep in mind you are not selling a brand with domain but a domain with branding potential and there are a lot of fishes in the see. I think 15K eur ~$22,000 USD is a fair price for the domain. Perhaps $30K. I can think of several domain names in that price range as appealing as Jingo.com so bear that in mind. Best of luck.
