Hmm, interesting. 6600 uniques per day and an absolutely recession-proof (in fact, the opposite: times are tough, more people searching) dead simple name make it a good buy.

No argument from me on that.

Its the best domain for one of the most popular online sectors.

Its always good to have high value sales in the mind of potential end user buyers - it reaffirms the domain=asset mentality and has a halo effect.

800k sounds reasonable for it, like safesys said its a great sector.

Hate to burst bubbles, but the company jobs.com sold, not the domain name alone.
Monster.com bought it cause its competitor hotjobs.com is signing an excusive deal with yahoo.com. so to couterbalance they bought no.3

Guest
Do you have a link that explains that?

The articles I read said TMP were using the domain to redirect traffic to their Monster.com site. As far as the articles are concerned they bought the domain and trademark only.

If you've read anything different, can you paste the url? Thanks.

Guest
I also heard they bought just the domian and trademark.

Jobs.com has been in bankruptcy for a while and their site has been down from Feb (at least), so you could hardly call them No.3.
