Well, I know John and I also know ouzo. Its safe to say that ouzo makes you dance - period. You don't need a victory or even a defeat. Sun up, sun down, nice breeze - all are occasions to drink ouzo. All are occasions for break out spontaneous dancing.

Well-said, Gerry. Remember to dilute ouzo with water 50/50 or you might end up registering some weird domains. :D

I never knew that. I drank what ever they served me. I was in Athens in the 70's so I imagine that they served me the right thing when we ordered.

Yup, it made us dance a dance that could never be repeated or duplicated. Had an absolute blast.

Well, ouzo is served pure, it's clear like e.g. vodka. But the glass of cold water it came with, it's for you to add to the ouzo, which then turns milky :D Opa!

Opa! and oops...if I drank it correctly or not would be impossible for me to answer. I was there during a joint NATO war games exercise. I was "drank under the table" by some Brit soldiers that we met up with. It was a wicked night and I paid for it the next morning, day, week. I probably started out started out drinking it correctly but shots were coming by the dozens and I am not sure what I ended up drinking. I do remember that it tasted somewhat like sambuca and we were drinking shots of ouzo on fire. That is about the extent of my ouzo memories...shots on fire.
