Just a newbie question

As we know, a newly registered domain has to wait for 60 days before we are able to transfer them to another registrar. Is there anyway it can be avoided (waiting for 60 days)?

Has anyone experienced this before? I mean, found a buyer after registering the domain.. Please share. Thanks!

if you are selling domains, you can use domain internal transfer instead.

I mean as far as transferring the domain goes, do the registrars really follow the ICANN policy strightly or it depends on the case?

most of registrars won't allow to transfer domains within the 60 day period..

That rule can only be overridden in certain cases, for example when a domain is stolen and transferred to another registrar, it can go back to the previous registrar at once if both registrars involved do agree.

You can transfer within registrar without rule applying. Therefore, if buyer doesn't already have registrar account, ask them to set one up and transfer the name, or you set up for them and provide the password.
