Thats well dodge,

I would get a war chest together and pursue it to the max,
just make sure you check all the T&C's on the sites involved, probably stonewalled by this.

Maybe a point to raise for all snappers is to read the terms and conditions.

If we all stop using a service until the Terms and Conditions are fair then this kinda stuff might not happen.

Ps legal egles, I never siad they weren't

nuguru: Just because eNom's system thinks he got the name doesn't mean he ever had the name in the first place. If eNom didn't get the name, all he's entitled to is a refund and nothing more. If eNom DID get the name, that's another story. We'll know who got it tomorrow.

This may take us a few hours, but it will be done today. We apologize for this mistake and the confusion it has caused.

Yeah I figured there was a problem when Gazebos.org and info showed up as available not to mention a ton of others I checked. Of course I reg'd them just in case but I immediately received an email. THey never actually went into my account.

LegalAdvice had a 15k+ bid at NW BTW.

Dear Customer,

We have been forced to cancel several orders that you have submitted through our API between 4:45 PM (PST) on 7/22/03 and 11:30 AM (PST) on 7/23/03. One of our API servers had a misconfiguration which caused the domain names listed below to be registered in the registry's OT&E (development) environments. This means that your domain name was registered in the registry's development environment while billed and provisioned in our production environment. We have checked for the availability of these domain names in the production environment in order to remedy this, but these names are not available for registration. Any orders not listed in this e-mail were either not effected by this issue or have been re-registered in the production environment.

The below list contains all of the orders effected. All of these transactions have been fully refunded to your account and the domain names have been removed from your account.

OrderID Refund Amt TransType Domain Name
---------------------------------------------------------------------
158034390 $6.95 Registration legaladvice.com
158034387 $6.95 Registration thecasualties.com

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this and we are taking steps to ensure that this type of misconfiguration never occurs again in our production environment. Please reply to this message if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Customer Support

I know that this is not a funny situation, but sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying.
