but it would be a LOT cheaper than the legal bill to deal with Nike if they charge you with cybersquatting

Probably the best advice..you asre simply a great fan of Nike shoes..you've worn themsince you were kid...blah blah blah.. I seen your name drop ..Thought I'd pick it up for you before a "cybersquatter" grabbed it..blah blah blah..

That reminds me I need to go shopping for a new pair a Nike tennis shoes soon..the last pair my wife bought me were 9 1/2 ..she's knows a were a size ten.. and she came how with a white pair ..I always wear black.. anyways ..let me know who I can transfer the domain too.
;)

I think Nike has no its own factory, all the work is done by independent factories. They do only design, marketing and collecting money. No Nike shoe was ever produced in the US.

But the former owner of nikecorp.com have nothing to do with Nike, Inc.

"NIKECORP.COM
I AM SELLING IT ON EBAY."

THIS statement here in a "public" forum did NOT help your cause, by the way. It's called proof of "bad faith", and I now defer to the lawyers, or at least your post in "Legal issues".
Good Luck.

Did Nike drop this name on purpose?

I hate repeating things:

Nike, Inc. have never had nikecorp.com.
The real question is why NPCPL(.com) dropped the name.
Did they have a conflict with Nike, Inc.?
