eBay is a dumping gournd. Rarely do good names ever pop up there (yes they do occasionally). I only auction on eBay as a last resort for something that I really do not want (i.e. I am going ot let it expire and Iwould rather get $2 than nothing if it expires).

Well unless he/she registered the names for 10 cents then he would have made a loss for sure.

i don't understand why you'd post that you sold those domains at a loss - i just don't get it!

Ebay is easy to use, but a poor medium for domain name sales. Over the years, I have personally spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars in insertion fees [ against the advice of knowledgeable domainers ] with no sales. I finally wised up and stopped feeding Ebay.

Their price is waaay too high - you can almost register a domain name for the insertion fee, which is about $5.00 if you choose a few simple options like bold text.

If you have more than one interested buyer for a domain name, Ebay may be good for those two buyers to square off. Using Ebay as a record of sales is also a possible use. I have done this.

But, for general domain name selling, I personally think that Ebay ducks.

quack :D
