I just won an auction bidding only the last 6 minutes.
After the auction ended i got a message from sedo saying:

Winning Bidder: You
Auction ended: Oct/29/07 07:33 AM EST
Due to recent unavailability of this auction site the auction has been extended by 61 minutes.

Can anyone explain to me what does that means????:undecided:

:D thanx...
can u be more precise plz?

You won the auction in the extended time , SO youve won the auction and its over now

hahahaha....

how would u know???

I was the other bidder , Nice purchase ;)

Thanx!

I was ready to bid on other domain through here but this one was on my list some weeks now.

edit: as it seems it was just a notice that i won the domain in extended time.(we call it in Greece as "paratasi" :D) So case is closed ;)

Hello all,

Due to recent unavailability of the database, auctions which ended on Oct/29/07 around 7 AM EST were extended by the number of minutes the auction was unavailable. In this particular case, it did not make a difference anyway, as Makis77 still won the auction. Congrats!

The only other instance when an auction would be extended is when a new bid is submitted within the last five minutes of an auction. If this happens, the auction closing time will automatically be extended by an additional ten minutes. If another bid is placed during the extension period, the auction is again extended by 10 minutes; the auction will close after ten minutes of inactivity, with the highest bid winning.

I hope this clarifies! Feel free to PM me with other questions.
