My theory is that 3 letter .coms made up of dodgy letters (q,j,x etc) are only kept alive by wholesalers. It's like gold - if everybody realised all at once that it's just a bit of metal that is way, way, way overpriced according to its actual functionality then the bottom would drop out of the market.
