I see two pluses and two minuses.
Plus - MAJOR city names have tremendous value ââ¬â not from the Overture count ââ¬â but from a walking count ââ¬â that is a count which board members are not sensitive to. Walk one block in either direction in a city and will see the name 1,000 times on signs. About 1 in 50 (20) will have web sites and desire a memorable e-mail/name. BUT THAT IS PER BLOCK WALKING. One can approach buyers by a physical search (walk) rather than E-mailing ââ¬Åare you interestedââ¬Â notices!!!
Plus - Those buyers have no objective way in determining domain value and their tongue sticks out when you explain how Loan.com sold for $5 million or that the dot TV registry is now offering Kobe.TV at the bargain rental (type it in on their PC) of only $1,500 per year rental or Tokyo.TV at $10,000 per year rental. ââ¬ÅSo I only pay $600 once and I own it for life.ââ¬Â ââ¬â asked the prospective buyer.
Minus ââ¬â it is an org.
Minus ââ¬â 95% of the signs in Kobe do not say Kobe, they are in Japanese.
Good luck,
