Wow, what a collection. They sure didn't target anything less than A-grade names. Great to see nameinvestor that some resolution is on the way, but is deletion the fairest solution for the former registrants, given that some never received e-mail notifcation for renewal of the names?

I'm wondering whether the non-receipt of a renewal notice is grounds for complaint and repatriation of a name, or whether the onus is on a registrant to check for expirations, and therefore renewal notices are not an essential legal part of a domain registration agreement?

 

I developed it myself. I got all his thefts and I think I have his real name now.

i recall emailing whomever had athlete.com and recreation.com a long while ago and neither email got thru (was bounced back) I would imagine that the registrants didnt keep their info up to date. Hate to play devil's advocate here, but doesnt failure to keep contact information current void the contract with a registrar ? I didnt keep one of my domains emails up to date a long time ago and i lost my domain to someone trickign verisign, but when i told veriisng i never go tan email because my email address wasnt current, they told me that i had voided my contract by not keeping info diligantly up to date. And my lawyer agreed with them...hmmm

ps. the info on eye.com looks funny too . It was up for renewal in May by a company that had owned it in usa since 1990 and now it says it belongs to someone in HK since 1990. ???
