This was reported over at NP. I just check over at Sedo and saw it on the front page. As the old saying goes:

"One mans trash is another mans treasure"

What do you all think? :jaw:

Or better yet, money can't buy brains.

Makes no sense to me but a great sale for the ex-owner.

Unless a city in Asia named "Las Vegas" becomes a hot spot, it won't be worth much (I would never think of typing in LasVegas.asia).

Heck, even LasVegas.co.uk would be higher on the list.

CHINA – MACAU
Macau, the rise of Asia's 'Las Vegas'
Gambling in former Portuguese colony is a US$ 5 billion industry. Chinese authorities praise development in accordance with the 'one-country, two-system' model, but are silent about prostitution and unemployment problems.

Maybe there is a Asian themed casino in Las Vegas? Or maybe the buyer wants to create a Las Vegas tourist site for Asians? I don't know.....

BTW - it seems a Australian bought the domain.

it seems a Australian bought the domain.

Maybe they would have been better buying AusVegas.asia @ Reg. Fee?

Value is in the eye of the Domain-holder I guess.

FYI: MACAU (geographically located in ASIA) is actually a larger market in gambling THAN LAS VEGAS now.

Las Vegas in Asia. Hmm ... not bad. As for US$30k, it's like CHANGE in the eyes of many Asian gamblers.
