I wouldnt worry about it..in fact dont even apologize..simply create an account with THAT companies contact information and push the name into it.
Then email the company explaing that you seen that their name was still available and that you registered it for them before any cybersquatter could.
Explain that you are a domain name broker and that your services are available if ever needed..
wish them or a good day.

Why not just delete it?

You can contact the registrar that you got the name thru. And, request
that they delete xxxxxxxTMxxx.com
Most of the time they will request of you to fax a letter confirming
what you want to be deleted.
They will remove it from your acct. and set it for deletion, as if, you
had not paid the renewal fee. It will go thru the 45 day period, etc.
It doesn't cost you to delete it. But, they will not give you a refund.
And, then, someone else will re-register it, thinking that "TM Corp"
forgot to renew it.
I think Bidawinner has the best suggestion. And, if you don't want
to contact the company. No problem. When it comes up for renewal
and they ignore it. Shame on them!

Excellent - but I would not even bother contacting them if you really want to get away from the name.
This can be a good move if you start to get any hassles from a TM holder who you don't want to deal with. Copying all their who-is from another name including email sends renewal notices to the correct place in the company as well.
This is better than the delete mode... IMHO
