Hello all picked this one up the other day any potential do you think? I think legal domains especially mobile could be good for use as a mobi because the person involved will be hot headed at the time of enquiry and will want to start proceedings straight away (In my mind anyway) therefore i think it could become a lawyer portal advertising tel no's as i have heard you could link a telephone number to dial straight away from the wap site???? What do you motley crew think?

i dont think law info is something I would look up through my cellphone, not of big use really, the only thing that might make sense is maybe DUIhelp.mobi, if its not taken, thats something you should get that makes sense on the phone to look up right before the officer is asking you to step out of the car..

Think again, aggieuk. As I mentioned in the other thread, it's virtually impossible to go through a single day around here without encountering regional TV commercials for legal services, sometimes scads of them. No, this one really rocks, and I could definitely see it being used in commercials and print advertising, on buses, trains, etc., if mobi takes off. For a two-worder, it's nonetheless an excellent legal .mobi. Given the state of things now with all the sales data we've already seen, assuming there's a semblance of truth to it all, as far as I'm concerned it's low to mid $x,xxx now, with potential for much better than that.

Cheers for the vote of confidence www, I thought it would have made a nice memorible domain for the law industy. Although we all need to be put down once in a while to get a sense of reality, a sort of wake up call really. As you can get attached to your domains sometimes. But i really think this one could attain a good $xxxx sale at least, obviously it would bolster the price tag if it were developed. At the moment i've got lots of development projects to get going with! And i'm sure this one will be one of my priorities!

Spent two years working in a jail booking fresh prisoners - you don't get to use your phone - we take it from you. You get placed in a controlled room and use the phone we supply. You can thumb through the yellowpages if you don't have your own lawyer or don't want to use legal aid.

No cell phone, no internet, do not pass go.

Whitebark sory mate i think you've lost the track here, i'm not going to use it for people in prisons etc etc, my idea is to use it for civil lawsuits, health and safety incidents, wrongful dismissal, injuries, criminal damage sort of things. So the complainant can look up a lawyer/solicitor to start the process of legal action. My intent is not as a site to help con's get legal help from inside prison.

I still see zero use potential.

A .mobi domain doesn't create a market where one doesn't already exist.

Who goes online after being fired? Who goes online after falling off a ladder? Who goes online when someone is breaking into their car? Who goes online when the chef spits in the food?

Some see it as zero, others see it $x,xxx and maybe more.

So there are buyers and there are no buyers. I would buy it. And some would not buy it. Come on! LegalAction.mobi. Hell yea! That is a good name. Its much better than BMW.mobi. Who the XXXX would check such a site!? If I wanted to sue someone, I sure the hell would not luck up bmw.mobi. lol!

I see no profits being made directly from bmw.mobi. LegalAction.mobi, on the other hand, If you were putting my .mobi down and saying (regfee), I sure would punch in legalaction.mobi! That is the first thing that comes to my mind. Bmw.mobi does not. Cant afford it. Id get more money from punching in legalaction.mobi than bmw.mobi if i were a user. Sell it to a nice legal firm for a lot or just be darn proud owning it.
Way to go! Nice catch! :shy:

Cheers for that mobiledesigner, i think whitebark your still off track here, your still not thinking along my lines buddy. It will be developed into a sort of lawyer search engine, a yellow pages of the web if you like, purely for lawyers, now after each entry the lawyers phone number will be on a sort of link, this will in turn after being clicked, automatically dial so you can speak to them, this i think is already being done. This isn't gonna be practical for extremes that you mentioned in your earlier post. And by the way if you see someone breaking into YOUR car it's the police you need not a lawyer! LOL

I know not everyone likes the .mobi and everyone has their opinion about them and i respect that, but i feel there is a future for .mobi, and as the .mobi CEO said it's gonna bring the internet to the small screen, they will be the next .com! Give it a couple of years and we will all see, i for one am waiting and watching patiently. The wise words that have been spoken millions of times springs to mind 'you got to speculate to accumulate!' Now if .mobi is a flop then i've lost out but if it becomes successful then hopefully i will be a little more better off than i am now!

That's what 411 is for - that's what the yellowpages is for. Sorry I don't see it getting any usage from the wild world.

Your telegrams.mobi on the other hand does make sense.
