Let.com was sold for $15k on Sedo.

Is it just me or...

..Is that an amazing bargain?

Google 641 M
Overture 15783

I am guessing that there are problems as the term has many none commercial meanings as well as the obvious commercial ones. There does not seem to be much Adwords bidding on this term, probably because it might generate a lot of traffic, but not much in the way of conversion.

Still looks cheap to me though!

Best Regards

What about the property link?

let1 (lĕt)
To rent or lease: let rooms.

Luke that's what I meant by "obvious commercial", the problem is that most of 641M will have nothing to do with Letting. However, I wouldn't have let it go for that!

I think also there is language problem here, I am wondering if the US actually uses this term very much!

Best Regards

Apologies Dave, I should read with more care ;-)

I had the same thought regarding language - Hopefully some of our US friends here can shed some light

15k for any 3 letter .com that is a word is one helluva bargain ;)

helluva = great ;)

Errrr isnt this sale an old sale? I think it happened a couple months back.

That's what I was thinking; the sale was reported by DNJ in August 2005.

Sold by a DNF member I believe.

The whois changed on 9-7-05 to the present whois.

Great price i think for this name. I guess you can still do some bargain out there

sub.let
towel.let
mail.let

Ton's more....subs are the way to go with this domain.
Definately a bargain.

It's a good name but it's unbranded, unless he develops it and makes a brand for it it wouldn't be worth over the $20,000-25,000 mark for now, if he gets lucky he may sell it to some end user, but i think it's unlikely.

Should we put this quote in an archive for 12 months? :-D
