Over the past few years we've seen a number of new companies built around Web3 technology emerge. From the perspective of domain registrants, the prospect of owning decentralized domains with no renewal fees is one of the most intriguing aspects of Web3. The problem has been that Web3 domains have not been accessible in web browsers like domains from the current Domain Name System we have relied on for the past four decades. In a perfect world Web2 and Web3 would be interchangeable and making that happen has become the mission for many of these new companies. An interesting thing about this is that the various Web3 companies are taking different approaches to building bridges between Web 2 and Web 3. To help shed some light on what is happening in this rapidly growing arena, we've started a series of profiles of some of the major players in Web3.
