It comes up for me as a '0' pagerank. Error on my part?

its a zero there is no way that is a page rank of 5 it may show up in the browser that way beacause it is pointing or was pointed to a website that has a page rank of 5 so it temporarly picks up that page rank once its moved it will lose the rank.

theo, thanks for the pm.. but this is not the case'

and MrMyerz, you need to relax "guy"

for anybody interested in the domain; the name is being sold as is, pagerank is real... you can;

1) double check with your preferred web-based page rank tool

2) visit www.linkmaster.net with google toolbar

3) if you like what you see, post sold to claim ;)

though i can not and will not guarantee it for eternity, it is what it is right now... and just a side note, when you pick up/buy a google pagerank domain it is your responsibility to make sure the page rank sticks for as long as possible by taking care of it however you go about doing so... everybody has their ways (pointing links, etc.)

taboo, a million web sites can look the same... that is why i stressed the fact that you should use the google toolbar and a web-based pagerank tool to verify that the pagerank is infact there

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=www.linkmaster.net&btnG=Google+Search

the page rank does not bite of off any other domain and especially not "compter.com" as you can see above, google's cache says it all

i'm right, you're all wrong... boohoo :ok:

I don't care who is right or wrong. I think it is very suspicious behaviour. The webiste compter.com just minutes ago redirected to the site you are trying to sell for its pagerank value. Radistar and MrMyerz have a lot of credibility here, so if I was interested in this website I would definatly not ignore their previous posts.

hmm... seriously, stop wasting my time with this silly accusations, once again.. respectfully, i will have to disagree because you don't know what you are talking about my dear friend

i don't know why i even bother but here we go.. last time you will hear from me regarding this issue

....there is this thing called domain parking where a domain owner can point his domain to a certain landing page which has a generic, often templated look.... hundreds of thousands domains exist that look "the same" ie; domains pointed and/or hosted with sedo, domainsponsor, etc.

Www linkmaster dot net is not and can not be PR 5 name.

According to MarketLeap it has a total of 3 linkpop!!

0 linkpop in Google, 0 linkpop in Yahoo, 0 linkpop in Altavista, 3 linkpop in MSN. In comparison, Dnforum has total linkpop of 424,964 and is PR 6.

Domain with the total linkpop of 3 CAN NOT be a PR 5 name, unless temporarily manipulated.

Therefore this name should not be bought for its purpoted PR, but for the name alone.

Actually if I understand PR correctly, number of links back may not necessarily mean a higher PR. You can have 1 million links back to your site and still have a PR of 4, whereas another site with just 10-15 links back may have a PR as high as 7 or 8. It all depends on who is linking back to you :)

This would be my advice as well.

It's probably been posted already, but... the only reason it has a PR of 5 is because it was pointing to another site w/ PR 5 for an extended period of time and temporarily copied the PR. I'm not sure why it happens, but I have done it before on accident and unfortunately the PR disappears pretty quickly after the domain is pointed elsewhere. This is because it's not real.
