Indeed, a nice domain! ;) Its value is in the mid+ six-figure range for sure, in my opinion. Even a seven-figure price is possible when selling to the right end user. I also agree that developing a domain is the best one can do at the moment, especially if the domain is such a high quality domain like yours. Do not sell it for less than $500,000 now, because the domain will be worth even more in the near future! No need to hurry. I personally would even go as far as asking $1,000,000+. Good luck!

i think u shud keep... its one of the best .com i think..at least top 50

I am in agreement with the limited commecial usage comment. As the domain market stands now $500K would be a great price to get for domain alone. I would sell if I had that type of offer.

Seven figures I do not believe is practical right now for domain alone. Who knows what the future will bring but I think current the domain is valued at the $250-$350 range.

Personally I just can't understand now people have these amazing domains and only park them. It's just so silly. You could be making $xxxx per month if the site was developed. You could spend less than $10k (heck less than $1k) and make it a BIG site which over time would get bigger and bigger.

Are you the original registerer on this one? How long have you had it just sitting doing nothing?

Sorry about my attitude but really honestly I am angered by the parking of such a sweet name. imho it lowers the value of the web immensely when names of this nature are doing nothing

As a webdesigner and developer i must agree, this is extreme in regards to design and potential rev. :)

are you kidding? doing nothing?

I bet the advertisers that depend on this traffic would beg to differ.

THIS is a domain doing nothing: www.air.com

He is getting less money from a parking company by giving them a cut of the action when he could easily make a site and sell direct advertising. Heck even adsense might do better than a few hundred a month. Directory sites can do very well and often people are willing to pay a nominal amount ($1-$20) to be listed. If he can get that site rocking imagine the revenue! If a directory site like joeschmoelinks.com can do well then links.com should shoot for the moon.

I consider a few hundred a month from links.com NOTHING. You could probably rent the domain for more than that!

how the owner uses his domain is up to him.
Let's get back to the topic please.

I would develop into something like www.bored.com a links directory where members display a banner to be listed.

there's a gazillion links sites this would be big in no time!

Have a feeling that for this particular name your several hundred dollars per month could be more like several hundred per day with a switch from PPC to PPA through affiliate marketing, or at least much higher than current earnings and in the $x,xxx zone.

Thanks for the advice so far. I just might decide to hold onto it. If I could get at least $30,000 per year in revenue, this would be equivalent to putting the revenue for sales (assuming $500,000) into a bank CD. Is this doable? Thanks,

Anyway, if your son is cool - sit on it and let him run it. I don't have a such luck with mine 3. Great name!

Have a good one - I'll see you on the cruise ship one day:)

Nice one Rich - $XXX,XXX.

Out of curiosity, how much money is earned via parking?

Richard

Hi guys,

Thanks for all of the additional comments and advice. I am trying to get a lay of the land and investigate possibilities. I know my son frequents Bored.com so I relayed the idea to him. Thanks for the suggestion.

I am looking at some PPA and affiliate marketing options. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I am now parked with NameDrive. I like their professionalism, though I know my long term potential is a bit limited if I stay with PPC. However, the results have been reasonable. Currently I am averaging about $350/month and it is slowly going up. I tried SedoPro for a short time. Unfortunately everything was going down so I returned to NameDrive. I may have a new custom landing page at NameDrive soon.

Any further advice or comments are greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Rich
