Simply put:

As of today only, Login doesnt remember me. I have to login each time with my 14+ character pw (no fun). But not only that, when I do login and of course choose "remember me" I get the splash screen saying "Welcome Jacksplat" but after that when redirected to the main page of dnf I am no longer logged in.

However, If I choose the "click here if your not immediately redirected" option I still end up not logged in. Only when I choose to enter the chatroom option am I able to stay logged in.. But...... If I should close the window I will need to do this whole song and dance once again.

I can live with it, as annoying as it is. I'm just informing you all.

Kevin.

first i got a pop up for www_pkr_com
and now for www_32vegas_com

When I came back on it said my pass is 1 day old (whoopie) and made me change it, ugh :(

Don't got that problem here; seems fine, using FF, don't got pop up problem either though ;)

I go an pm from admin asking me to change passwords (which I did). Logged back on after a couple hours and got a notice that my password was one day old and must be changed (which I did). I hope these were both legitimate requests (otherwise don't believe anything I say... ;) )

I got the same; had to change passwords twice. If dnforum is hacked, that seems to be a great way for the hacker to collect passwords, but I have used unique passwords, definitely not the same as for any registrar or such.

Yeah this is quite worrying, I changed passwords twice now.

Well, just for the hell of it I changed my password again. Third time tonight.

Might as well be on the side of caution.

We're all getting the same messages, I presume.

Like to believe it was from Media Hound, but...who knows.

So while I am in here, I changed it again.

Im Scared.. lets all hold hands and sing Kumbaya My Lord...

i use saved automated password here in case,

just make sure you change your email's password ones a month or so- thought to hack your email takes up to 10 days (I've heard from russia) they do gmail, hotmail and yahoo from around 200 gbp only

Just got same request to change password saying password was 90 days old. I had forgot mine (surprise, surprise) so had to have it emailed to me by the system. I have changed it now.

Has this been highlighted to a mod or admin? (I note none are on at the moment.)

yes, MH suggested to have your password changed... the only thing that I was concerned with was the two pop ups... during browsing on the forum... it did stop.. not sure what activated them.

OMG please does anyone have a free antivirus software download link?? my norton expired

buy a copy, $30/year for something as important as a good antivirus should not be a drawback

That's is the proof that forum was hacked.
use unique passwords!

I changed my password after getting the PM, although after getting over-zealous reading this thread, I just changed my password again; this time to my 'uber password' though

Lmao!

I'm sure that DNF is secure, although it'd be nice to have some insight into what happened :)
