Approved by Google as entertaining supplement. Approval communication available, proactively gathered Google's permission upon startup two years ago.

Unfortunately I don't have any time anymore to maintain the site, it's sad but I don't want to see it die. No updates in a couple of months, but still going as strong as ever.

Between 1000 and 7000 uniques a day heavily depending on blog traffic, forum traffic where people and sites feature one of the logos temporarily or permanently. Many natural links due to popularity. Growing community, award feature for fake Google creations generates 5-10 new logos a month.

Nr. 2 for search term GOOGLE LOGOS or GOOGLE LOGO in all SE's out of millions, on top: runs great in Google Images. Variations of LOGO keyword combos run great too: LOGO ART Nr. 3 of 35 mio (!) in Google. Nr. 2 with GOOGLE BOOKS in all major SE's as well, great basis to build up on with combinations for everything Google.

Only commercialization so far: AdSense, potential much, much bigger by aggressively selling logo creation tools, books, content or Google related stuff.

March 2005 earnings via Adsense 600 dollars.

Please help me evaluate the value as the site stands today. Offers please via PM, thanks!

Let me get this straight, you're saying Google approved of a domain that contains their name and trademark? I find that hard to believe.

Twice in email communications stating that they are flattered about the entertaining aspect of the collection of other folks art work. There was an incident right after the IPO when the Adsense team removed the Adsense rights due to a detected trademark infringement. I sent them the first email and they apologized wishing me all the best with the site, reinstating the Adsense ads.

The communication is available for review. Obviously they feel to have a supporting publicity factor with the site. The site was mentioned twice in university newspapers too, subject to research by artschools and PR schools.

In other words, the domain is approved based on its current content. It would be hard to imagine Google approving it for any other content, e.g. what if I wanted to use it as my personal portfolio?

I would definitively not change the scope and content area or keep Google involved even before changing anything. Should have to be complimenting to their cause though. Since many folks create such logos by themselves without G having the means of stopping them I guess the site supports their vision of finding stuff easily and quickly.

Also: they get free promotion too.

Good luck with the sale!

Thanks for your appraisal! Juggler

On another forum folks stated similar values. Enriched with updates, fresh and conclusive data I would start auctioning for 7000 bucks then. What's the best place selling, auctioning fairly quickly despite of ebay which might be a value killer anyway? Thanks, Juggler.
