About a year ago I had hired a firm (Carbonon - carbonon.com) to create a site for me. 11 months have now passed and the site is no where near complete. I fired them 2 days ago and requested a 50% refund. They refused. So I have created another site, http://www.carbonon-scammers.com where I have written a review of their service. You can read the full story there.

If you wish to help me out, please comment on this on your blog linking to http://www.carbonon-scammers.com with the text “Carbonon” or “Carbonon Tech”. I want http://www.carbonon-scammers.com to show up as #1 site whenever someone searches for their company name. Thanks.

There is always two sides to a story, if you get Carbonon to come on the Forum and tell there side, I'll comment on it.

Why did you let this go 11 months before taking action? What were the original terms for this?

The project was sort of a side project and I wan't really in a rush, so the fact that it was taking longer than expected wasn't a huge issue up until Feb when they just flat out stopped working on it. I sent them an email March 2nd stating the site must be finished by the end of April. They agreed.

But by April 20th I saw they hadn't done anything and I fired them.

They originally told be by October, November at the latest, it would be complete.

I read your website and the part where you get an error message. I should be able to fix that for you. At no charge of course. PM sent.

I see these guys listed on their site.

Are they the ones you were dealing with?
Roshan J Kuriyan
Arun J Ambat

I hope you get your site completed.

The day after I demanded a refund and before I had changed the password to the site Carbonon edited something in the database which now produces an access denied message to the MySQL database.

The error itself is just a authentication failed message for MySQL, which my guess is because you changed the password yourself and didn't update the configuration file for the scripts.
