So some lucky guy (someone from this forum?) registered lotto.com. Probably through Snapnames...? The highest bid on Namewinner was over $50,000!!! All namesnapping services were trying to catch this BIG fish.

BTW, what took them so long to release the name? It had been on hold for more than 10 days...

Heavily TM'ed vanity name... Hope the buyer has legitimate claims to the name lotto, or it could be WIPOed...and $50K (or whatever price was), down the toilet!

The name is registered with Verisign. It seems like no drop catching service got it, but rather it just exchanged hands or...you do the math :)

Not gone, RECOVERED.

Recovered by Verisign. Note the email contact.

Along with a bunch of other names.

If it was my name, I'd be highly slutted that they didn't restore the original registration date, because sometimes that can make a difference in a UDRP case.

That WHOIS info for LOTTO.com is not accurate, either! Invalid email, and missing phone number. Time for another challenge. ;)

Not sure if they are invalid or just protected. Some registrars offers protection of your e-mail as well as your phone number.

NetSol whois may show incorrect domain creation date, but
shows correct expiration date.
Namely, they show "whois record creation date for this owner" as creation date. I know this because I've dealt with ownership changes at NSI. If you change ownership - creation date would be changed to the date of ownership change.

This time we see:
Record expires on 15-Aug-2005.
Record created on 29-Oct-2002.

Therefore I guess this name was created at central registry on
15-Aug-SOME_YEAR, expires on on 15-Aug-2005, and
was never deleted this year. During this year, ownership was changed and domain renewed...

guys just don't get it. Many of you are as thick as boards.

This name along with dozens of others were stolen, just as Nameinvestor, with Brujah's corroboration, posted here six months ago.

What you are seeing now is just the shake out of NSI reclaiming the names, now keep your panties from getting into a wad...

You might be right Racer X. But it would be nice to have more than the whois record to go on. I had my suspicion regarding this domain if you read my first post above, but before alleging a thing like theft I need more to go on. Maybe you know more than we do, but you can't blame people of being too careful before drawing any sudden conclusions.
