No offense intended, but I think anything with a trademark in the name is worthless.

Well that's horrible advice...especially considering your website lists numerous domains containing registered trademarks for sale.

I think it's worth 1-2 years PPC income.

That would be very bad news for many automotive forum owners....

I know some huge auto sites with trades in the name... 10,000+ members

Dear alldig

I registered nearly all of my names many, many years ago. And I checked the US Trademark site before registering most of them. I also state on my site that if I am in conflict with any trademark I will WITHDRAW that name from sale at once. This is a strict policy. Did you read that part?

By reading your remarks, I can only conclude that you condone Trademark violations. How sad.

Have a good day.

Forums are usually ok b/c they're like fan sites..but if its parked for pure ppc..expect a c&d letter eventually...

Every tm'd auto domain I've owned, that was just parked for ppc, has received a C&D Letter..mainly higher end autos (porsche, mercedes, ferrari, etc)

I'd say $0 b/c of the TM. unless it gets good traffic/income, you may get 1-2 years income if you're lucky..

just IMO though.. :)

Thanks for your opinion..... A nice responce....

I just picked it up since I saw it available in an expired list... No biggie..

My brother owns a huge auto forum with a tm in the name (30,000+ members) , but like you said, they can survive on being a fan site... or at least I hope so for his sake....

Oh really?

You own canoodle.com and list it for sale on your site? Looks like "canoodle" is a live US trademark according to the trademark electronic search system (TESS). Maybe you should WITHDRAW that name from sale at once. While you're at it why don't you withdraw mp3pricewar.com as well?

You conclude that I condone trademark violations because I think a trademarked name is not worthless? Your logic is flawed for obvious reasons. Why do you think trademarked names go for thousands of dollars on drop auctions each and every day? Let me give you a hint...it's called traffic.

You really should know the facts before you post on a public board. I registered canoodle on 10-8-99. Canoodle.com was a published website on 3-16-00. By using canoodle.com in commercial use I established a common law trademark. If you go back to TESS you will see that the live trademark is dated 4-5-2005. You will also see two dead applications dated in 1999. Those two were mine. Since I have used canoodle for business since 2000, I have rights to use TM beside the name. I could only use an R if it were registered.

The point is that I registered the name and put it in use LONG before the current live trademark.

Lastly, what is up with you? I gave an honest answer to a question here. Maybe I was right and maybe I was wrong. It was simply what I thought. And you start this almost personal attack on me. Chill out...relax, take a valium...peace

Since this is an appraisal thread I will stop arguing with you and stay on topic. Here's my point confined to one sentence:

To say that all trademarked domains are worthless is an incorrect statement and the first response that you gave was, in my opinion, worthless advice.
