Got a low $X,XXX offer on this guy through Sedo.
I'm thinking it may be worth substancially more to certain resellers, and now that Macau has really exploded with American casino groups moving in a corporate enduser could result in many many times more.

Opinions?

I've been contacting a multitude of hotel and casino enterprises open or soon opening in Macau. If I got a reply what do you think a smart asking price would be?

Counter with a high X,XXX. You don't want to scare him/her/co away.

I actually was foolish hastily countering with a low XXXX of my own. He countered that with "This is about as much as I can afford" and a compromising low XXXX offer. I'm really glad he didn't take it in my moment of weakness :) (Had just blown a lot of money on expensive beverages in mass quantity over the weekend which hurt my pocketbook and may have had lingering effcts on my judgement :cheeky: )

Have you ever seen Boiler Room? I always suggest domainers watch this movie. There are multiple rules to follow, here is one:

ABC - Always Be Closing
Either they're selling you on an excuse or you're selling them on a domain

They are on your time, not vice versa. Either they accept your offer or leave. Plain and simple. Most end users are like ex-girlfriends...they always come running back.

My point being that if they didn't accept my paltry counter offer, they probably aren't a serious enduser or even reseller.
But I do agree with you and love that movie!

It may help to determine a fair price if you could find out what the other macaucasino extensions are getting or asking for their domains. As you know, there are lots of them listed on sedo including. .us, .info, .eu and
some cc's

Have you seen the latest article? LINK

I would dump that as quickly as possible before he knew what hit him and invest in what that article explains.

I think mid x.xxx is a fair price considering its a .cn , I am sure there are some peolpe that could spend more, but then again, those guys might even want a domain thats even better.. if it is really a casino you could probably get the XX.XXX..but usually I would think that a casino wants its name, not the term casino, so it might not be an established casino already..always think about how long it will take to get another good offer and what you could do with the money during that time..if you are holding out because you think you could get 6k instead of 3k sell for 3k right now..if you think you could get 25k+ in the next 5 years, hold onto it...

I saw .de and .net on afternic for someting like $150,000 and $200,000 respectively with minimum offers of $25k.
Not that I will expect $XXX,XXX, but it was amusing.
