I know what a slotmachine is, but machineslot makes no sense at all. Just because the word still contains the two terms, does not mean that it will retain the same meaning when those terms are reversed.

examples:
automobile (mobileauto)?
notebook (booknote)?
ceilingfan (fanceiling)?
bullshit (shitbull)?

If I got a dollar everytime I heard someone say it's "brandable", i'd be a rich man. Hell, almost any otherwise useless name can be turned into a catchy brand. In 2005, mere "brandable" names have little to no value. "It's brandable" may have worked in 1999 when venture capital was being thrown around for catchy domains to brand with new startup projects, but the environment is very different today. Mere brandable names are nothing more than purely speculative, and they just don't have the automatic built in value they once may have enjoyed.

I agree with everything Joe says. If you look up the term in google you'll see that the "machine" part is at the end of one term and the "slot" part is mostly the beginning of another - just because they appear together alot doesn't necessarily mean that they make sense together - which they don't. I've never heard of the term "machine slot".

A slot machine is what you gamble with. A slot machine slot is where you put your coins into. And a machine slot is where your lost reg fee went.
