This is just a 7-DAY auction. Highest bidder on 8th Nov takes the website and domains.

Since many have requested, I have set the BIN - $1,200

URL: MacMiniForums.COM

Age of site (months): 3

Monthly page views: 5-10,000

Traffic details: Search engines, Links

Description:
Looking for Quick Sale!

I won this website and 5 other domains and at eBay for a great price as the the website was listed in a completely wrong category! Besides that, the seller mentioned that the main website i.e. MacMiniForums.com has PageRank of 1, but it has Solid PageRank of 5! (probably he thought PR1 was better)

From my 4 years of experience dealing with domains and websites, I would say that the domains alone are worth $400+. Domains, specially, MacMiniForum.com and MacMiniForums.com : they are straight forward and get continual targeted Type-in traffic. They top search engines naturally. If you are a Mac Mini Owner and want to have a discussion about it or looking for a issue related to it, you would just go macminiforum.com or type mac mini forum at Google. This site will show up on 1st page, 2nd position.

Question: Why am I selling if I got a great deal?

Answer: Look at my Sitepoint ID. Buying and selling websites is my full-time job. Besides I dont know how to make this site online - the seller gave me some backups and domains. This is one reason I want it to be a quick sale, so that the site does not stay offline for more than 2-3 days. (updat: now its online, hence I am in no hurry to sell it)

Here is the owners descrition:

"Due to a lack of time and the success of another project, this forum has been suffering from proper attention. All domain names and the forum archive are for sale. Domains are listed with expiration date. I can also provide a temporary location for browsing the forum archive prior to purchase. (I am not sure how to this)

The forum consists of:
Threads: 614, Posts: 4,239, Members: 1,375
Highest viewed thread: Overclockin the Mini from 1.42Ghz to 1.58Ghz - 49,223 views

http://www.macminiforums.com/forums/

The following domain names are for sale:

Domain name (Registered until)
MacMiniForums.COM (1/11/2007)
MacMiniFORUM.COM (1/11/2007)
MacMiniOwner.COM (1/11/2007)
MiniMacForum.COM (1/11/2007)
MiniMacForums.COM (1/11/2007)
MiniMacLounge.COM (1/11/2007)
MiniMacOwner.COM (1/11/2007)
iHomeFORUMS.COM (1/8/2006)
iHomeLounge.COM (1/8/2006)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Extremely desirable domain name
Registered through GoDaddy.com services
Immediate transfer within 24-48 hours of auction close. No transfer fees"

So, This Auction is for the above mentioned domain names and Forum Archive (With all member database, threads, posts)

Price (or starting bid): 950

BIN: 1200

Is an auction?: Yes

Google page rank: 5

No. of Pages Indexed at Google: 2,500+

---------------------------------UPDATE------------------------------------

I was selling it for a low of $700 since it was offline and was in a hurry (as keeping a site offline for long time affects it). Now that I spent some money and time and found someone to move it, I will take some time to sell it and am in no hurry. After a month or two, it will be in $x,xxx.

Website was offline exactly for 1 Day and 20 Hours so no harm done in PageRank or any other rank.

* 1,370 + Members

* 4,300 + Posts

* PageRank 5

* Highly targeted forum - with high keyword density and high paying keywords

* 2,500+ Indexed Pages at Google

* 60 Links at Google, Over 212 Links in total

* Domains Value - Typein Traffic, Search engine traffic (Keyword rich)

* Tops Google and other search engines for "Mac Mini forum" "Mac Mini Forums"

Considering all these, the value of site is easily $1,200+. minimum I would accept is $950

Any idea what forum software was being used and if the databases are intact?

I'm also skeptical if this can be listed as an auction for a "developed website" since there is no website viewable online...

Hello,

It uses vBulletin Forum software. Yes, it is established as the new owner will be receiving the members database (1,300+), all the exisiting threads and posts (4,300+) and the links (PR5). I just dont know how to upload the files and make it online - or I would be selling it after a month or two for x,xxx.

Mike

Will remove the 'pending sale' msg for now. The buyer asked for my paypal account and hasnt replied from 2 hours.

So, Offers still accepting. First one to post $700 gets the Forum and all the domains mentioned.
