zoot, first off let me say that I read the story on the traffic 2004 conference and saw you attended .. I respect you as a domainer and maybe we can meet up at a conference and talk business one day ( that is of course, if that is really you I read in the traffic 2004 conference ) .'
ââ¬Â¢Ã¢â¬Â¢Ã¢â¬Â¢ Yup that was me

After a night of too much tequila...and absolutly would be happy to sit down and talk...this last conference was a great opportunity to meet folks that we work and talk with all the time.
With that said, I didn't pay much for the name, paid low $xxx for it ( I know a good deal when I see one) . So no, I am not looking to make a huge profit on it, just a modest one to be honest. Just to get that out of the way ..
ââ¬Â¢Ã¢â¬Â¢Ã¢â¬Â¢I hear ya and its not that I don't think the name has no value ( I think it does ) or couldn't be put to good use...its just one of those names that I personally steer away from
With that said, I disagree that jewish organizations would not want the name. I know this because I contacted a few of them ( over 25) through various searches and already have a $1k offer on the table from one of them.
ââ¬Â¢Ã¢â¬Â¢Ã¢â¬Â¢ I didn't say that a Jewish organization wouldn't want it...just think that this particular name could cause provocation in the wrong hands...whether intended or not. It doesn't take much to piss people off in the region.
With that said, if there is indeed peace in that region, it will be big news for a few weeks , but after that everyone forgets about it and moves on..
However, if there is alot of conflict, this will put his name on the news much more often and for a much much longer period of time.. I mean, you even admitted this Isreali/Palestinian conflict is one of the biggest news stories of the past few decades .. And it wouldn't have been such a big story if there was perfect peace.. I mean let's be honest here.
ââ¬Â¢Ã¢â¬Â¢Ã¢â¬Â¢ It will be HUGE news if peace is reached and if it isn't we will still continue to hear about it every day. But I don't think in either case people will just forget it and move on...too many factors and other related issues are connected to this ( or so I've heard the news claim

Ya can't beleive everything you read ) Perfect peace in the middle east would be huge news...( why because there has never been such a thing before ) but of course if this was just a recent conflict it would come and go. Anyhow..I really don't want to get started on a discussion of the area...politics and domains don't mix ( for me anyhow )
Yasser Arafat has been a household name for decades because he was an antagonist .. If he was some peaceful peacemaker, he wouldn't have nearly been as popular..
ââ¬Â¢Ã¢â¬Â¢Ã¢â¬Â¢If he was a peacemaker the news we would be hearing out of hte area would be how prosperous it was becoming...Yassar was and to a certain extent still is the biggest obstacle to peace between these 2 people. And I agree IF he was a peacemaker we would have heardd much less about him..unfortunaly it wasn't the case.
Hey, the Jordanian Prime Minister is also a peaceful guy, however most north americans couldn't even name him because of that exact reason .. His name is King Hussein .. Now, when North Americans hear the name "Hussein" , who do they think of ? The pig- Saddam Hussein of Iraq ? Or, the peacemaker- King Hussein of Jordan ??? -
ââ¬Â¢Ã¢â¬Â¢Ã¢â¬Â¢I agree...when there is peace there is obscurity and most people don't hear of about these other parts of the world.
Thats Food for thought ..
ââ¬Â¢Ã¢â¬Â¢Ã¢â¬Â¢Greeat..thanks!! Now I am hungry...
ps - you have some nice names by the way, just took a look at some of your names .
ââ¬Â¢Ã¢â¬Â¢Ã¢â¬Â¢Thanks
