I purchased the domains manchesterutdfan.com/.net/.co.uk on behalf of a client who was looking to set up a fans webmail type service.

He's no longer in a position to use them as intended and I'm left with them and have no use for them so was wondering as to what they might be worth, either in terms of selling them on or setting up some kind of site which will generate income with little/no need for me to spend any time looking after it.

A soccer team with 90 million fans worldwide, 50 million of them estimated to be online....in short the biggest soccer team in the world. A team that announced earlier this year they were to spend 10's of millions developing their global brand. The team name with fan added not available for any of the other premiership teams.

Yet nobody has an opinion as to the value of this name!!!

I know it certainly isn't worthless as I've had offers ranging from mid $x,xxx to low $xx,xxx - although the value seems to be in the fact that these are endusers with a development plan.

What I have to decide now is whether I embark on the development that was going to be done myself, which I think could give a decent return for not too much effort, or sell for a quick buck.
