I got f@cked out of ten of thousands of dollars by a Marchex subsidiary called GoClick.com. They'll get no love coming from me. That's one of the reason I can't stand the "big time domain player worship" I run into every now and then here. I hope Horowitz spent it wisely.

Chilling thought.

Some businesses like a restaurant don't need to have a website.

But a list of restaurants, addresses and phone numbers is only a start. I want to see reviews, photos of the restaurants, menus, and a write up. Google will be helpful if you already know the name of the place but need directions - if you want to compare businesses and see what people have said about them, you need some kind of comparison website like Marchex is doing. But Google might go there too.

The CEO is selling his stock like a drunken sailor, and he keeps awarding himself millions of dollars worth of options each year. He must not feel to good about the prospects. Other people's money...kinda like that Rosenblatt guy of Demand Media.

They are good at getting people to give them money and then cashing out, so congrats on pulling it off. These companies seem to be in the business of making off of the investors instead of for them. IPO's, issuing new shares, cashing in, while the public shareholders take a bath.

That's business as usual, so it's not like they will go to jail. There are certain individual investors that kinda like getting taken to the cleaners when insiders sell their shares to them.....it gives them something to talk about. The insiders are taking milllions of dollars out per year in sales of their stock....stock that they did not pay for....they issued it to themselves. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the company makes a $200,000 profit.

This will enlighten people to the power of the geodomain space. A pure geo will have the ability to go after vertical markets.
