This one might be the LEAST USED SYNONYM of housewives in any spanish-speaking country. Even worse, it is old spanish, maybe restricted to certain regions within the continental Spain, it's also PEJORATIVE, and refers specifically to low-cultural-level women.
Clearly suitable for the adult industry, but not quite a "variety" of uses.

The translation of the word marujas into english is difficult. I agree it is used in a generally pejorative sense in Spain (I do not know South-American Spanish so well). A maruja in Spain is a comely middle aged stay home housewife. I imagine her carrying 8 barras de pan and a generous "barriga" but it seems many out there come to marujas.com looking for something somewhat more strangely seductive...!
SO any idea of value?
