For Sale Me new to the drop game, what procedures to follow in order for success?

Hi Guys,

There's a name I'm keeping my eye on that is suppose to drop on Friday, Sept. 24th (09/24/2004). Now, I must admit I haven't used many drop services, and have only ever picked up one dropped name with NameWinner a while back.

So what should I do to ensure to the best effect that this name is picked up by me?

I've put a bid on NameWiner already, should I try for:

- Pool.com : Place a back order, pay $60 if I win
- SnapNames.com : Never used them before, is it worth the money?
- Other smaller services (suggestions?)

Tips/tricks? Thanks for your help guys

I like my chances so far, I have 4 services going after the name and I don't have to pay any of them unless I catch it. Any further suggestions? Thanks for your help steen

No, that would be if BuyDomains catches it somehow with its own registrars. Or a private club.

Be careful to not place too high of a proxy... pool will prolly try & make you pay close to it even if you're the only bidder.
