I am contemplating on selling my 5 year old search engine. The reason I am selling is because I need funds to invest in to a real estate venture. This sale will include 100+ typo domain and generic names that generate over 170K uniques browser type-ins per month for melvista.com. Income is around $12K per month Net and comes from google and miva partnerships as well as banners, and affiliate programs.

There is zero maintenance and the only cost is $200 per month dedicated server that can be downgraded to shared hosting but I keep it cause I like tinkering with it. Anyhow, I will not take less than $750K paid in full (no owner financing deals).

Any interested and serious buyer must submit a financial statement authenticated by a real CPA (that I will check out). I will also require a N.D. agreement before I release any of my income details. If you're interested please contact me via email only (no pm), I do not have time to keep checking my PM box, so please email me. I'm not going to post my email here with the @ sign for spam reasons so here it is spelled out, address is mborin at earthlink.net.

Again, if you are not ready to comply with my requests please do not waste my time.

Thank you.

Hello,

at 12K per month in revenue, not profit - you want greater than 7 years income, it would take that long to recoup your investment.

Even with companies that are brick and mortar with assets you can touch - the valuation is 1.5 to 2 times revenue or 6-8 times profit, it at least leaves you the assets to liquidate if you have an issue or two.

130-160K would be more like it.....

Must be quite a site.

Please post revenue proof.
I would like to investigate this further, very interested.....

$12K is net profit not gross. Also, this is domain names we are talking about not a mom-and-pop store. You are comparing apples to oranges.

Hey dont want to ruin your sale but when i search for melvista i only recieve 4-5 sites in which link to yours for a site in which you say it is would have thousands of links and pages indexed in google.
Also its only a PR3 which isnt that great my site had a PR5 after 3 months.

Could you answer these questions please i just dont feel that these stats are correct when measured againts the things i pointed out.

Melvista.com by itself receives a handfull of hits per day. I use it to display XML feeds from Miva.com. All traffic is from 100+ domain names pointing to it and some directly to Goolge. My Google contract alone is worth the money. I am selling my entire Internet holdings which total to my monthly profit and traffic. 99% of my traffic is typ-ins so you will not find anything to compare. I am a serious seller and will not waste anyone's time. I ask the same from any interested buyers. Again, I will only provide info when I know that I am dealing with a qualified buyer. Just to give you a sample of domains that own, a few months back I sold GUNS.COM. You can verify that I owned it by looking into whois history. I can not disclose the selling price but it was in the 6 digit range.

glomedia... again, I do not have time for window shoppers. If you're serious please comply with my request in the original post and we can tlak then.

Hey glo, I relly mean no disrespect. Please stop your comment that you're send me via PM and just move on to another forum and let me find a qualified buyer. Again, no disrespect to you. I can see that you have not read my post.

Why would we not be a "qualified buyer" ?

We have spent over $2Million on domain names and internet properties in the last 12 months.

We are one of the UK's largest online media companies.

You have absolutely no information on us to make such a comment which is entirely without foundation.

I have requested further information and you have failed to provide it.

So the 'search engine' really isn't more than a simple landing page which in itself only gets a handful of visitors per day. Which means this search engine doesn't really have any value itself, and you are only selling 100+ domains with traffic. Then I would suggest you simply list the domains with their traffic here.

Also you keep referring to a deal you have with Google, but all I can see is that your site displays results from Findwhat. Maybe you can do some more explanation here as well.

I'm confused. Are you selling the domain(s) only, or the site as well?

I am selling my Internet business that generates $12K in profit every month. Melvista.com is just part of it. I did not want to list all of my domain names here for various reasons.

Maybe you don't have the time to list all of your domains on here...but please list atleast 5 of your top best domains that we will get with this melvista package.

Thanks!
