I got this domain here in dnforum.
When I got it <<mercedes gl>> gave 1200 at overture
Today <<mercedes gl>> gave 1660 at overture.

The Mercedes GL is the new big SUV for Mercedes
Featured in the new XMEN 3 movie
It will be out by the summer of 2006

Any ideas?

^. I somewhat disagree. While this is, yes, a trademarked name, very very few car manufacturers go after their domains. Look at hondaaccord.com, which sold this week for around 8k I think. That domain has been registered for a long time, and honda could have easily gone after it, yet they didn't. Look at every car model domain, and 95% of them are parked. For a big company like GM to go after a domain, to them is a complete waste of time for monetary and time consumption reasons. I would appraise it at a few thousand right now.

They could decide to go after their trademarked names at any time, and they will most likely get them. They may, they may not, so there is risk associated with owning a name like this. IMO trademarked names have little value.

They could go after trademarked domains at any time, and get them, yes. Will they? Who knows? It does seem very improbable for a car corporation to waste money and time on domains that mean so little to them. Do TM's have value? It's all in the traffic....

i would say high XXx or so.. use as a fourm about Mercedes GL series to avoid the major TM issues
