Personally I think it is ridiculous...

A kid can type in any domain name and wind up seeing hard core porn, hate propaganda, or extreme violence without any tools in place to block the viewing by a minor... but websites that require a credit card deposit to play with real money and that usually have a pretty strict system around who can add money, and that have controls limiting how much that can be deposited, etc... is potentially going to be banned?

Some people need to get their priorities straight... imho...

I agree. Plus - the internet (well, the foundation) was engineered to survive a nuclear holocaust (minus nuclear clicks). Designed to re-route around damage.

It will just see firewalls as damage - they would have to have their local ISPs set up filters in their local switches and hubs.

Well personally I think the US banning online casinos was retarded but I don't think they will be able to block everyone from viewing what they want.

People are smart and will find a way around it.

I strongly suggest that every Minnesota resident contact their New Senator immediately.

in my personal opinion, it seems like another huge taxation opportunity and employment opportunity that the U.S. has legislated out of the country. however, since online gambling is illegal - blocking the offending sites seems ok.
