Missing traffic question

I had "a" particular domain parked. 9 days ago I decided to change DNS and
point it to a webpage. I then noticed that the number of visitors over past
30 days was 800 odd YET on the parking company it stated only 6
(i.e. simply six NOT 6 hundred) visitors from 1st Sept to about 13th
when I changed DNS.

What could account for such difference as seems traffic is missing?.

There is something odd about the way you are wording this such as did you change dns to a developed webpage or to a parked page. Also, where did the traffic stats come from before the decline to only 6?

1. Domain was parked in Dec 07
2. Domain was parked from 1st Sept to 13th Sept 08
3. on 13th Sept I changed the DNS and pointed domain
to a simple plain webpage with nothing much on it
except email addy.
4. I checked the traffic via the good logging of my registrar
and see that it had 800 plus visitors over past 30 days
(in this case it would be 14/15th sept to 22nd Sept)
127 of those today. Any period that the domain
was parked would NOT show any stats/visitor
numbers as the DNS was the parking companies.
5. I checked the stats of the parking company and
see that from 1st Sept to 13th Sept it says there were only
6 visits.

Maybe the parking company doesn't count hts from spam bots etc..?

Not sure what "good logging" is but assuming it is some type of a stats program what is the name of the stats program so we can possibly check to see how it handles error code traffic and bots, etc which may account for the high traffic it reported?
