Hello all i must have taken a hell of a bang to the head, but i was looking around the Sedo website and noticed a .mobi in the top domain section!!! WTF i said!!! So i went to track it down myself! Whilst on my travels i saw on page 13 of the Sedo.co.uk top domains section (I think sedo.us and sedo.com list pages differently so make sure you type in sedo.co.uk!!) there she blows Mondi.mobi Now what the hell is that doing there!!! What about my Dumbass.mobi Sedo peeps! Why isn't that there??? It's billion times better than that ugly thing!! LOL!! Maybe someone at Sedo was having a nervous breakdown and put it in whilst on heavy drugs! LOL!

Can anyone shed some light on this mystic phenomenon???

BTW i am an avid .mobi supporter check out my dnf user name!!! So don't think i'm a hater for this post!!

Rant over!!!

Chris. :yo:
I wonder sometimes if it's not a case of 'not what you know, but whom your know'. This aside, it's good to see they're classing :hail: .Mobi (anything) as a 'Top Domain'.
Maybe it's about EXPOSURE, and mondi.mobi got the lucky break. :noidea:

Chill Laird, it means 'worlds' in Italian, so it aint that bad - but, if that's there, why the hell isn't my diamanti.mobi, 'diamonds' ? The swines!

This doesn't relate to the 'top section' but you know the search results page? When you tap in a keyword to search for on sedo it brings up the page with the results? 'keyword'.com
" .co.uk etc. yeah?
I have discussed with a top broker at sedo the possibilty of adding mobi. I know we discussed a while back. They will add (as it's a tld). It's a question of when. When i was talking to him he said they hadn't really thought of it, as the top guys there apparently rarely look at the site. I pointed out maybe they should.
Anyway, back to the top domain question. Normally if a domain has had lots of offers or traffic it would be added. In this case i am puzzled how it got there, but hey? Lucky owner. Still can't see it selling. LOL

There is definately a two-tier system at Sedo. When I've approached them about sticking a name or two in the auction, I just get the same off the shelf response about them not being able to do that - then you see some names getting on without a bid!

I'm not talking about just .mobi, it's with .com's too - maybe it because I don't park with them ?

Hi Jas,
you can just ask a broker & they will let you submit one word .info domains & one word .mobis
These will be without reserve. However ,say you have had a $1000 offer on a .mobi & you decided not to sell or send to auction that time. They will take that as the reserve next time, if you want to submit to auction without a bid.
If you have premium .coms or .co.uk, they will put much, much higher reserves on obviously as they have been proven over time & command higher prices in general.
Best to wait for offers unless you have a premium .com & can put a nice solid reserve on.
Hold your mobis is the best bet. It's early days.
cheers ;)

But how does the Broker actually get the advantage of entering into auction with no bids? This is where my wires got crossed here.

Well, the broker (sedo) have nothing to lose.
Say you list a .info for min start $70
If it gets no bids, you both lose nothing.
If it gets one bid of $70, sedo get $50 & you get $20

It was only supposed to be a light hearted rant!!! LOL!

snowball.mobi ;)

Just been informed by Sedo my JPY.mobi and Practice.mobi are in the exclusive 'top domains' club!!

I'd be TickledSh*tless.mobi to have a broker contact me. Seems like you blokes in the UK got them all wrapped up. PatheticSupport.info here in the States from the LameSedoStaff.org. I've been asking my rep for months now to have a boker contact me and ThisHasNotHappenedYet.net.

Might as well be watching GilligansIsland.tv as there certainly AintNoSuchThingAsASedo.pro.

Nice domains, especially practice is top notch! Good luck!

Cheers Hugegrowth fingers crossed!!! Although i'm developing all my .mobis it would be nice to get a big sale to wipe out the outlay, get into profit again and have some spare for groundbreaking technical development!!!:?: Cheers Laird.
